WEiRD WAiFU \ weird why-foo \ brings your 2D dreams to reality with an experimental twist. Better known by her friends and family as Shianne, this Washingtonian is an emerging DJ and producer in the bass music domain.

Music has always been a part of Shianne’s life. Growing up next to the Gorge, she was surrounded by the sounds of the Pacific Northwest and developed a deep love for music early on. She played piano as a kid, but it wasn’t until 2019 that she started producing and created her project, WEiRD WAiFU. The name came from her belief that it’s okay to be different—Be weird. Be you. Inspired by anime and her love for artists like Liquid Stranger, Zeds Dead, ODESZA, and Nirvana, Shianne’s sound quickly stood out for its immersive vibe and ability to push the boundaries of what bass music can be.

Her journey took a major leap when her second single was signed to Bassrush, a key moment that propelled her forward. Since then, she’s played at amazing festivals like Bass Canyon, Beyond Wonderland, Equinox Festival, Goldrush Festival, Deadbeats Eugene, and Area 406 Festival, and has provided direct support for artists like Eprom, Wreckno, Dion Timmer, Peekaboo, Zingara, and Ruvlo. She’s also headlined shows across the U.S. in cities like Dallas, Denver, Phoenix, Vegas, Louisville, Huntington Beach, and Seattle. With perseverance and passion, she joined AB Touring in 2024, which opened up even more exciting opportunities.
