Weird

In HS I masked my weirdness to fit in so the bullying wouldn’t be as severe. Like many people do, I found my self during college and stopped caring so much what people thought. Normal is boring, fk being normal, Be weird, Be you, became my life motto.

Waifu

is from my love of anime. Kiki’s delivery service was the movie I watched that started getting me into anime. I rented it so many times that the owner of the video shop gave me the VCR. Later on in my childhood I realized I liked movies that opened with the studio Ghibli logo and downloaded them all on lime wire. During that time I went to a small elementary school that only had 40 kids in it and had the opportunity to go on a field trip to the mukogawa institute in Spokane. I became pen-pals with a few Japanese exchange students. Writing letters to them was something I really looked forward too, I would practice my handwriting, find cool stickers and other nick-knacks that I could send back in my letters to them. I had a hard childhood and it was a nice artistic escape for me.

Weird Waifu

When creating my dj name I wanted it to be me and something that I was passionate about, so I didn’t have to change to fit my internet persona. One of the main messages behind my project is to always be yourself no matter what people think and its ok if you’re weird. After pondering for awhile weird waifu popped into my brain and decided that its a perfect description for me as a person and an artist.
